I Just Can't Keep From Nerding Out
I wasn't going to post today, but this song is just too effing good to not be shared.
Robyn - With Every Heartbeat
I didn't really go for Robyn when I first heard her last year. But when that synth bubbles up from behind her desperate vocal plea here, I just can't resist. I've had it on repeat all evening. Or at least since after I finally got to listen to LCD Soundsystem's work-out track, which is also fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't think I can put that up due to its size and DFA's particular prowess for keeping their tracks off the blogs. Dig around a bit and you can find it though.
Fluxblog's write-up on The Knife show at Webster Hall early this week is pretty spot on. It was fantastic beyond words, and these photos do its visual experience no justice at all. If you have a chance to go see them, break whatever promises or deadlines you may have in order to be there.
