David Hasselhoff is hooked on a feeling

I'm not really sure what to make of this. It can't be real, and by real I mean authentic, as in, David Hasselhoff actually released this, can it?

Oh, I’m living in the future / I feel wonderful

So, here it goes. My entrance into this strange world of mp3 blogging. I had a difficult time picking out tracks to post for my first attempt at this. Eventually, I went with the Talking Heads' song from which I stole the title of this blog, "The Book I Read." This version of the song from the remastered The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads sounds the best to my ears.

And this one, hrm, I'm not even sure how I feel about this one. Maybe that's why I wanted to put it up here to see how others felt about it. In any case, it's interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about giving those weird background vocals that you get in the original such a prominent place here. You decide. And if you haven't seen the video for the original version, check it out.

Brokeback Top Gun

I can remember watching Top Gun when I was very young at my aunt's house in Massachusetts. I don't know why I never asked my parents to buy me a copy of it because I really loved it. To this day, fighter pilot still remains the #1 job I would like to have, but that ranking is based on a rather romantic view of the job. (In my case I wouldn't want to work for the government, kill people, etc. I'm mostly in it for the flying upside down and flipping of the bird.) In any case, this shit's funny.
