Of What We're Not Sure

"Even as late as the eighteenth century, the Earl of Shaftesbury could comment, about his map of nature: 'In the places most remote from man's works & occupations we encounter the manifestation of the divine Mind pure and undefiled.' Out of this tradition comes the implicit identification of the Poles with the furthest unknown reaches of the self/world and, for that very reason, with its transcendent center as well. For what is farthest away and most hidden is, paradoxically, always what is most important: the journey to the pole is a journey to the center of the soul." -- VN

Hot Chip Will Break Your Legs & Snap Off Your Head

If Hot Chip hasn't already got you dancing around your bedroom, watch their video for "Over & Over" and then try to tell me you don't want to get out of that chair that you spend far too much time in and start a danceparty with anyone nearby.

I'm wasting my life just watching the TV

I've gotta get myself together, and you've gotta hear this song. It's been posted at some other places, or I guess that's just a place. I know I saw it somewhere else. Can't remember where now. It's a fun song from a band that I had never heard of and I don't know what anything else of theirs sounds like either. I've got some sitting in my temp file that will get played eventually...after all that other stuff that's been sitting in there, waiting to be listened to for weeks.

"I really am a dark, angry, and unforgiving person, and I spent the first 30 years of my life not knowing that. Then one night I was like, holy shit: I am a dark motherfucker. Ever since then, I've just been in this blessed whorl of insane productivity."

- Elliot Leaf
